As a Math Fellow with Blueprint Schools Network, you won't just support students, you'll help expand access to high-quality math instruction for young people who deserve every opportunity to succeed. And along the way, you'll build the skills, experience, and confidence to become an exceptional educator.
About the Role
Real service. Real students. Real results.
The Blueprint Math Fellow is a position for people who are passionate about educational equity and ready to put that passion into daily practice. As a Fellow, you'll deliver intensive, personalized small-group math instruction during the school day, working directly with students and helping them build confidence, strengthen their math skills, and reach their full potential through rigorous, individualized support.
You'll receive structured onboarding, regular one-on-one coaching, collaborative lesson planning, and whole-group professional development throughout the program year. This is practice-based learning at its best: you grow as an educator in real time, with a real support system behind you.
Every student possesses incredible potential that deserves to be fully realized through high-quality, personalized instruction. As a Fellow, you are the catalyst for that growth, providing the focused math support that empowers students to accelerate their learning and chart new, ambitious academic trajectories.
Whether you're exploring a career in teaching, already planning to certify, or simply driven to do meaningful work, the Math Fellow role gives you the foundation to move forward with purpose.
Why This Role Matters
The opportunity gap is real—and Fellows close it.
Far too many students—disproportionately those from under-resourced communities—move through school without ever receiving the rigorous, personalized math instruction they need to build lasting confidence and academic momentum. The effects compound: students who fall behind in math early are less likely to access advanced coursework, post-secondary opportunity, and economic mobility.
Blueprint Math Fellows work at exactly this inflection point. By providing daily, intensive small-group instruction, Fellows accelerate learning, rebuild academic confidence, and help students access the full promise of their education. The impact isn't abstract—it's measurable, and it belongs to you.

Build Your Career While Making an Impact
A hands-on launchpad into teaching and education careers
The Math Fellow role is designed as a professional learning experience—not a volunteer program. You gain instructional experience in real classrooms and receive ongoing coaching and feedback that accelerates your development as an educator. Many Fellows go on to enter teaching certification programs or secure full-time roles at Blueprint partner schools the following year.
Note: Fellows are hired as hourly, non-exempt employees. Blueprint is in the process of applying to continue its AmeriCorps partnership for 2026–2027; if approved, fellows may have the option to transition into AmeriCorps member status, which unlocks additional benefits including the Segal Education Award and student loan forbearance.
